The Fried Egg’s cuisine centers around timeless American comfort food crafted with care. Guests rave about signature dishes like the Fried Egg Skillet, where perfectly cooked eggs nestle atop a savory blend of ingredients that awaken your palate with every bite. The Julienned Salad adds a fresh, crisp contrast with its delicate textures, ideal for balancing the rich flavors on offer. Breakfast classics receive a decadent treatment here. You can indulge in the sweet aroma and golden crispness of the Red, White & Blue Waffle — a luscious stack crowned with bananas, blueberries, strawberries, and dusted with powdered sugar and icing for an irresistible finish. Those with heartier appetites will appreciate the Two Pork Chop and Eggs or the famously comforting “I Might Covered with Gravy and Hash Browns,” a dish that truly embodies diner soul food with its rich, savory gravy smothering crispy, golden hash browns.

Beyond breakfast staples, The Fried Egg’s menu extends to enticing lunch and dinner options such as grilled pork chops and steak skewers, offering smoky, flavorful alternatives that satisfy meat lovers. The vibrant “Viva Mexico” quesadilla—a generous serving of grilled chicken or steak combined with sautéed onions, peppers, mushrooms, gooey cheese, and traditional sides like Spanish rice, refried beans, and guacamole—reflects the kitchen’s commitment to variety and quality.

The dining atmosphere reflects the genuine warmth and friendliness felt in the kitchen. Longtime patrons and newcomers alike note the inviting, clean, and spacious setting, enhanced by attentive and amicable service staff who make every visit comfortable and memorable. One customer, Philip Sluka, was pleasantly surprised by how The Fried Egg surpassed his previous experiences at this location, praising both the freshness and cleanliness alongside the solid diner menu. This place definitely exceeded my expectations. I can't remember what the name of this restaurant was a few years ago under different ownership, but I was completely surprised at how nice and clean it was when we walked in today. The menu was fairly typical for what you would expect from a local diner, with a few novelties thrown in here and there. All four of us though were in agreement that the food itself was very good! Definitely will stop here again if we are in the area.

Very nice small but spacious restaurant. Offering much more than the "Fried Egg" name implies. Food was very good. The facilities were nice and clean. They servers were pretty good at their job. Overall a good eating out experience. Worthy of at least one try out by everyone. Most visitors will likely return soon.

Amazing food and my server was very kind and attentive! I got the Fish Dinner with veggies and a fruit bowl as my 2 sides. It tasted SOOO good. I don't live in Wabash, but have visited a couple times for work. This place would definitely be my go to place if I lived in Wabash.

The food here is really good and the service was friendly and helpful. It is usually a pretty busy place so you can tell that has a great reputation among the locals. I fully recommend The Fried Egg for breakfast.

Our first visit. A great place with plenty of parking and seating (had a second dining area as well. Our server was friendly, our food was good (try Alfredo's Mess) and hot. Price was very reasonable. Excellent experience!

Scrumptious food, generous portions, and fast, friendly service in a modest atmosphere. The hot chocolate was wonderfully rich and had a surprising depth of flavor. The cinnamon roll pancakes were decadent, with warm spices and flavorful frosting that seeped into every nook and cranny of the fluffy pancakes. The breakfast skillet was filled almost to overflowing, and the mini malted Belgian waffle was airy and light. Overall, a huge amount of delicious food that will leave you feeling happy and satisfied the rest of the day.
